Char Betemariam

Preschool Aid

Char feels that supporting the preschool teachers at HOPE Christian Academy is some of the most important kingdom work and she’s honored to be a part of laying the foundations of spiritual and academic growth in our littlest students.  She is a homeschool graduate who is passionate about raising up the next generation with a deep conviction for Godly character and worldview. From her teenage years through early twenties, she supported the Yellowstone County Home Educators Association in Montana through a variety of ways such as managing the local homeschool library, coordinating the annual talent show and expositions, assisting in
monthly support group meetings, providing bread baking and etiquette classes and serving on the coordination team for one of the Montana Homeschool Conventions. Prior to having children, Char worked for several years as a medical transcriptionist and pharmacy technician. She finds deep fullness of joy and contentment in pursuing Jesus and striving to exemplify what it looks like to be a committed Jesus follower to the next generations.

Char and her husband Hailé have two daughters who attend HOPE. This is her family’s
sixth year with this lovely community of partnered educators. They recently added a
labradoodle puppy, Shadow, to their family and he keeps life fun and exciting.

In her free time Char enjoys going for long walks, playing board games with her family,
hosting friends in her home and reminiscing about the magnificent mountains of
Montana where she grew up. Her family attends Christ Church Mesa and is ever so
grateful to God for the abundant life Jesus so graciously supplies no matter what the
world may throw their way!
