Beth Howey

Sixth Grade Teacher

Beth joined the Hope Christian Academy Team in 2024.  Her love for children and education dates back to her own elementary school years.  She was not raised in a religious home, but sought out the Lord shortly after being married when she and her husband, Brett,  struggled with infertility.  She was baptized on January 13, 2008.  Since that moment, her passion for sharing her testimony and love for Jesus with other women, families and children has grown DEEP & WIDE!  She has participated in numerous Women’s Bible Studies, volunteered for multiple Vacation Bible School sessions and held many leadership volunteer positions.

Beth received a Bachelors in Education from the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) in Elementary Education in 1998.  In the summer of 1999, she moved to Arizona with her newlywed husband, Brett.  She began her teaching career in Alhambra School District, then moved to Kyrene School District.  She obtained her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Endorsement in the Spring of 2003.  Her teaching experience has included being a classroom teacher, a reading specialist, a preschool teacher, a private tutor and a substitute teacher.  Throughout the last 25 years, her passion for teaching and praying for children and their families has blossomed and flourished.  Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Beth and Brett have three children - Olivia (21), Jackson (17) and Tatum (15). They attend Christ Church in Gilbert.
