Amanda Schultz

 Music Teacher

Amanda joined the HOPE community as the Music teacher in the fall of 2022.  Having taught preschool through twelfth-grade music and choir for 16 years in the public school system, she is so thankful for the opportunity to teach in a Christian school environment. She has been playing piano, organ, and keyboard and singing on the worship teams at the churches she has attended over the years. She is excited about openly incorporating her love for God and Christian music into her classroom.

Born in Wisconsin and having lived briefly in Minnesota, Amanda moved with her family to Arizona in 1989 when she was 10 years old. After attending Mesa public schools (Rhodes JH and Dobson HS), she got her Associate of Arts degree in music from Mesa Community College and her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education from Arizona State University.

Amanda celebrated her marriage to Shawn in the spring of 2026 with most of the HOPE community in attendance. Her daughter, Olivia Joy,  began attending HOPE in the fall of 2023 as a 2nd grader.   Long before starting to teach in the classroom, Amanda wanted to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschooler; she has been wonderfully blessed to have the remote learning partnership that HOPE offers to fulfill that dream.

She and her family enjoy hiking and exploring God's amazing Creation (especially National Parks), going to concerts, and spending time together and with friends.
