Laura Pitt

Vice Principal

Pre-K Director

Laura was appointed to HOPE Christian Academy's Board of Directors in 2016 and has served as the Vice Principal since the 2021-22 school year. She has been serving in education for the past 25 years. Her connection to HOPE Christian Academy goes back to its founding when her two oldest daughters attended the school’s 2000-01 inaugural class, when it was known as CrossRoads Community School.

Laura has been actively involved in a number of the school's parent-assisted programs over the past 9 years. Most notably, as co-coach of the Eaglebots Robotics Team, which placed 1st at the Regional FIRST Lego League Tournament and then 2nd at the AZ State FIRST Lego League Championships in 2017. Over the years, she has stepped in as an interim principal in 2018, served as a substitute teacher and has contributed her talents to organizing school fundraising events.

Prior to that, Laura taught high school chemistry for 10 years and was the Women's Ministry Director at her former church. These experiences allow her to contribute meaningfully to HOPE Christian Academy's unique parent/teacher led educational structure, and to further the school's educational and spiritual mission.

Laura is married to Sam, and their family has lived in the east valley since 1998. She enjoys spending time with friends and family.  She has a passion for education and is looking forward to serving the families of HOPE.
