Gina Fraher

Fifth Grade Teacher

Gina feels so blessed to be part of the HOPE Christian Academy family as the fifth grade teacher and looks forward to building relationships with the students and their families. She earned her BS in Elementary Education with a Minor in Science and her MA degree in Counseling at Northern Arizona University.  She has taught for 32 years in grades first through fifth, as well as a school librarian and technology innovations teacher.  She has also taught a college level course on science in the classroom for Northern Arizona University.   Teaching has been a gift in her life as she loves encouraging students to become eager lifelong learners and respectful citizens who love the Lord!

As an Arizona native, Gina loves to explore the state with her husband of 32 years, Joe, and her two sons, Noah and Will.  Road trips, camping, and discovering the next little antique shop are at the top of the list of things to do in her book!  Her husband is a high school teacher at Gilbert Christian High School teaching history, government, and economics.  Noah, her eldest son, is proudly serving his country as an Army captain and is currently stationed in Germany at Grafenwohr Army Base.   Her younger son, Will, is a senior at Bethany College in Kansas earning a dual degree in Marketing and Business Management.

Gina attends Generation Church in Mesa.  She volunteers her time with Chosen, a foster care and adoption ministry at her church.  The ministry exemplifies the decree in James 1:27 that we are “...to look after orphans and widows in their distress…”  by showing love to children and teens in need.
