Admissions Information

HOPE Christian Academy welcomes students from any race, color, national or ethnic origin; our students come from a variety of educational backgrounds and experiences. Families who have home schooled for years find HOPE Christian Academy a very natural complement to their lifestyle.  On the other end of the spectrum, families transitioning out of a standard five day setting, find our school to be an extremely comfortable and easy adjustment. 

HOPE Christian Academy is truly a partnered educational model.  As such, admission at HOPE Christian Academy requires a meeting with the administrator in part to determine that the educational model, selected curriculum, additional Home Based Learning components, parent volunteer obligation, and participation in the school’s educational and community driven activities correspond with the expectations of the incoming family. 

Policy for Enrollment of New Families:

  • Initial Meeting/Tour:  Interested families call to schedule an initial meeting and tour with the HCA administrator with at least one parent/guardian with or without the prospective student(s). Other family members are welcome to attend as well.  A tour is required before an application will be accepted. Tours for application in the following school year are not scheduled until after Fall Break in mid October.
  • Student Meeting:  The administrator is provided an opportunity to meet prospective student(s). This step can be completed with the initial scheduled meeting and tour or on a separate scheduled occasion, but must be completed prior to the submission of an application.
  • Admissions Packet Submitted:  Parents submit a completed Admissions Packet, Tuition Agreement, and Personal Reference Forms. For students applying for grades 2-8, a recent report card or standardized test results should be submitted with the admissions packet.  If these are unavailable, grade specific assessments will be required.
  • Admissions Packet Review: The HCA Admissions Committee will review all submitted packets within two weeks of submission.  Admissions packets are reviewed and considered in the order they are received. For tours conducted prior to December, the administrator will contact the family after current families have submitted their re-enrollment intent; no later than December 15th.  For tours conducted for current school year enrollment and those conducted in the spring for the following school year, the administrator will contact the family after the Admissions Committee's two week review period.
  • Enrollment: A non-refundable fee of $250 per family is required upon enrollment.  New students will be considered officially enrolled once the enrollment fee has been paid.  
        Admission requirement note*:  Students must be at least 5 years old by September 1st of           their Kindergarten year.

Tuition Information:

K - 8th Grades - $4850 Annually 2018-19 

K - 8th Grades - $4995 Annually 2019-20

For all enrolling families in 2018-19: $200 initial tuition payment is due upon enrollment.  The remaining balance is billed in ten monthly installments beginning on August 1st.  Tuition is due and payable by 9 am on the first school day following the 4th of each month.  A $20 late fee is assessed to delinquent accounts. 

For new families in 2019-20: a $250 non-refundable, per family registration fee is required upon enrollment.  Tuition will be billed in 10 monthly installments from July-November and January-May.

Returning families in 2019-20:  HCA has adopted an Continuous Enrollment Policy.  Current families are considered enrolled for the 2019-20 school year unless they have indicated with their intent in early December, or the subsequent confirmation in February, that they are NOT enrolling for the upcoming school year.  No enrollment fee is due; however, a $250 fee will be assessed for students withdrawn between February re-enrollment confirmation and August 31st.  This fee cannot be paid with scholarship funds.  Tuition will be billed in 10 monthly installments from July-November and January-May.

A second child (enrolled concurrently) receives a 5% discount, a third child receives a discount of 10%, and any additional children receive a 15% discount.

 Scholarship Information

Most of our HOPE Christian Academy families utilize the Arizona Tax Scholarship managed by private school  tuition organizations such as the Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization (ACSTO).
