About Us

Mission Statement

"It is our commitment to partner with families to equip their children – spiritually, academically, physically, and emotionally – so that they may impact their community and world for Christ."

What are people saying "About Us"?

"There are so many school choices in the East Valley it can be overwhelming.  We have tried out numerous different academic settings from 5 day a week Christian school, charter school, homeschooling full time- it wasn’t until two years ago that we discovered HOPE Christian Academy.  It has been the absolute best fit for our family.  I love that the school provides the opportunity for me to be with my kids an extra two days each week and, while working through their assignments, concentrate on whatever is pressing for them.  Our family places high value on involvement in the community, extra curriculars, and sports- so having two days to coordinate school timing for ourselves allows that opportunity as well, instead of always feeling rushed from school to the next activity.  The academic setting provides for an excellent education (check the test scores!) without the intense pressure children may experience in other settings. All this, and they get to be with their friends, spread their wings, do a variety of sports in P.E., and learn Spanish and Music.  It has been the best fit for our family and we are so grateful to be here."

-Allie Johnson

"HOPE Christian Academy has been such a blessing to our whole family! The staff and teachers care so much about each individual child. My daughter absolutely loves all of her teachers and I am looking forward to my youngest starting kindergarten this year. I love the time I get to spend with my kids on remote learning days and the relationships that I have built with the teachers and other parents. HCA will always hold a special place in our lives!"

- Melissa James

"We moved from a charter school to HOPE three years ago, and are extremely happy with the classroom/remote learning model that HOPE provides.  It gives me an opportunity to guide, mentor, and encourage our children at home while still giving them the “experience” of both outside teachers and their peers in a more traditional classroom setting.  Each of the teachers, administrator, and board members at HOPE care deeply about not only our children’s educational success, but their hearts, character, and spiritual formation as well.  The other families at HOPE have been kind, supportive, and share the same biblical values of focusing on the heart and not just on the outward conformity that many schools lean towards.

Academically, I love the curriculum which focuses on high-quality literature, an incredible writing program that works for all types of learners, strong, basic math that has stood the test of time, systematic, solid history, science modules that are useful for everyday life, and grammar that dovetails right into the writing program.  Having been exposed to multiple types of curriculum in our children’s 9 years of various schooling, HOPE’s is far and away the strongest of any of them.  I feel confident that our 8th grader is ready to launch into high school, fully prepared for any public or private school setting that comes next.  It’s been a great privilege to have had a hand in educating our children the past three years.  Challenging at times?  Yes, but completely worth it."

-Karen Steketee

"The strong/parent teacher bond produced by this model provides students with a prep academy level education; academic excellence is reflected in the school's competitive test scores year after year.  The teachers are exceptional professionals who provide Godly role models whose lives are strong in character and personal discipline.  Each teacher donates countless hours above and beyond to prepare their students academically and spiritually.

The older students provide daily positive peer influence, and  HCA has implemented a buddy program that pairs older students with younger to promote literacy.  The school has been described as a "utopia" due to the strong bonds of the school community, and high parental involvement and volunteerism among families contributes to the optimism and faith we have in our school community as being exceptionally unique."

“There are parents who would love nothing more than to home school their children and be a vital part of their education but, unfortunately, the task can be intimidating.  HOPE Christian Academy in Chandler has acknowledged this desire in parents, and it has responded by developing a program that blends learning in a Christian school with reinforcement of concepts in the comfort of home through parental guidance."

Statement of Faith

Detail with references in Appendix 1-click here

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God.
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His Resurrection, His Ascension to the right hand of, and His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation, because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; that men are justified only by faith in the shed blood of Christ; and that only by God's grace and through faith alone are we saved.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved receive eternal life and those who are lost receive eternal condemnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.  (Detail in Appendix 2-click here**) **Parents please use your discretion when reading this appendix with your children.
